31. “Waiting Room”
by Objectman
Submitted for KVR Audio’s One Synth Challenge #15, this is my first entry into an electronic music competition and I’m pretty excited about it. We are only allowed to use one synthesiser and this time it’s Krakli’s FREE Stringz2 synth. The idea behind this tune is to conjure up feelings of the East. I recently bought a 3CD set of Russian music and it turns out that Sting’s “Russians” incorporates a few bars from Sergei’s Prokoviev’s “Lieutenant Kijé” suite. I’ve used a vaguely similar sequence in this.

STOP PRESS: I came 6th out of 12 in this competition, but the designer of the synth liked my piece so much that he emailed me to say so. He also gave me a link to his paid-for synths which I downloaded for free. So I kinda got something for my efforts.
Beautiful Opener for the Heart Chakra
I love it
Thanks Lisa. I’m entering this one into a competition, but still feel I need to do some work on it. I like the idea of it opening the heart chakra. Lord knows we all need a bit more of that!
This is great soundtrack material for the right footage. What competition are you entering it in?
Hi Kerry,
There’s a competition called the “One Synth Challenge” over at KVRaudio.com. They’ve had 14 of them so I’ll be entering the 15th. The prize is a bunch of sound files / loops or VSTs. It’s just a little thing but I’m trying to get more experience and a bit of kudos.
